Jan Schlüter’s lovestory with music began in the early 80ties when he started djing at school parties. So consequently he joined the music industry around 1990.

Young willing and able he started at Warner Music Germany . Within two years he worked in several departments like Press promtion, TV promotion and Sales Marketing.

In 1992 Jan Schlüter started a distribution company called PP Sales Forces within the Public Propaganda network. PP Sales Forces established a fine reputation with exclusive labels by the likes of  Compost Records and Jazzanova´s Sonar Kollektiv plus US labels like Strictly Rhythm, MAW, Henry Street and British imprints like Mo Wax and Ninja Tune. Furthermore PP Sales Forces did vinyl distribution for Polygram Group and labels like Talking Loud, Urban and for Sony Music´s S3 imprint. Schlüter also did freelance a&ring for Motor/Universal Germany.

In 1998  Jan Schlüter joined Yo Mama Records as a Label Manager and Head of International. He was responsible for co-working with Sony International Network Europe (S.I.N.E.)  for acts like Patrice and took care of several major German HipHop acts like FETTES BROT, Fünf Sterne deluxe, einszwo. 

In 2000  he started BEI SCHLÜTER an artist management and publishing company. First bands were famous German Tech-Rap super-group DEICHKIND plus German Indie-Rock Band DIE STERNE and Kindergarden rap-crew  Deine Freunde.

Furthermore he consulted music start-ups including the digital distribution company Believe Germany.

Since 2020 the sonic branding agency Make Some Noise was established. It is a creative consulting agency and music production house with offices in Hamburg and Frankfurt,Germany.  Clients are global brands like Audi, ABB, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche plus several creative advertisement agencies across Europe.
